Come to my bed again tonight. I care little for the sentencing when it comes to you. [Not that it isn't important, and there are certainly still things they can check off, but she wants him in all the ways she can have him, whether it meets a need or not.]
I forget my sentence with you. [Even if they were checking things off the list repeatedly. Without vows or duty bearing down on him, he could simply enjoy his time with Dany.
[She is glad to hear that. That this isn't some duty or just a means to an end with them. What she feels for him may be impulsive, but it lights something in her, and she cannot not have him now.]
I know, but this was a direct invitation. [Perhaps not an order, but it does come with some directness, a purpose.]
If I were your queen. [They have not talked about bending the knee of course, but it is a subtle way of bring it up, half serious and half joking in reply.]
The Night's Watch takes no sides. [He might secretly want one ruler to succeed over the other and offer his subtle help, but he kept his vows where he could.] If I am commanded, I will obey.
[He could find his way with his eyes shut. He knew the way to her bed well by now. He doesn't bother to knock, instead walking through the door as though it were his room.]
[She doesn't respond back to him, not needing to get into the politics of it all. They aren't home after all. Sadly her power means very little here, not that she doesn't have the same commanding attitude though. Clearly, giving him a directive that he may be happy to oblige to.
She's sitting on the bed with her device out, still in awe of what it is capable of, before she closes it and smiles up at him.]
That was quick. You must be eager. [Which she does not mind. He has the same effect on her.]
[Not that he meant to hide his desire to be with her, however that might be. He remains by the door for now, content to just see her and take her in. Her beauty and strength were always so plain, it sometimes hurt his eyes and heart, but in the best ways.]
Would you rather I take my time and make you wait? You'll only end up punishing me.
[She sits a little straighter, but makes room beside her if he wishes to join. That is the purpose after all. To get him to come to her. Dany smirks a little as she looks up at him, posture a little stiff, but she places her hand on the bed beside her.]
I can be lenient if need be. [If she's still getting the desired outcome of what she wants. She is not a cruel ruler.]
[He doesn't linger long in the doorway. It's better to sit next to her and be close, even though he likes to look as she seemed to with him. He's near her, almost shoulder to shoulder, gazing at her with his dark eyes.]
You have a gentle heart. [Which isn't a terrible thing.]
You are not the first to tell me. [There are plenty of things that can still her, the suffering of others being one of them. Her smile softens her features when he sits beside her, pleased that he took the invitation to sit beside her. The bed itself is still not all the comfortable, but she now has a quilt and two pillows with Nicolas Cage's face on them-- whoever he is.
She places one hand on his as the other comes to gently touch at the side of his face.]
[He leaned into her touch, grinning down at her with warmth in his eyes. It was easier to ignore the strange things in this world with her, starting with the pillows behind him. He didn't know what to make of that, but he didn't like it, save for when she lay against them.
He placed a hand on her waist, drawing her closer to him.]
[She leans in, following the way he wants her body to pull in closer to him. She would shift however he wanted in this moment, gladdened to have him near. She does not know how things have gotten so intense between one another so quickly, but she enjoys their nights together and does not mind how absorbed they have become in one another.]
Tell me what you think of. I might be amenable to make it a reality.
[It was a complicated question, as he thought many things about her. More often, less about sex than about what he wanted to talk to her about. Not that desire wasn't a overwhelming factor in their relationship. It was rather clear from the quick squeeze to her waist.]
[They are already comfortable with one another, their intimacies regular now. She is used to his touch, enjoying it even more than she was expecting. But this place does not seem to just let affection grow. It is not a bad thing though, and she welcome the way he pulls her in and holds at her waist.]
I am not disappointed. You also have a kind heart. Of all the things offered, and this is what you think of? [She hums. It's endearing. If many men were given the same choice, she knows it would be different. Perhaps this is the reason why he has free access to her bed.]
Often. I think as well about how warm you are and soft. That I like your eyes and your touch. You are kind, funny and gentle. I have never truly felt akin to someone, save for my sister, but I feel as if I know what you will say or do before it happens.
[As if they were of one mind, though he was afraid to speak that aloud. He was content to note it on his own.
He nuzzled into her neck, smelling the perfume of her hair. His hand squeezed her hip. If he could press her even closer, he would. But they were already as close as they could be.]
Our coupling is an aspect I love, but there is more than that.
[She cups his face gently when he speaks. Dany is used to men looking at her and falling for her, giving a limb to do the things that her and Jon have done in this prison, but this still feels different. She had not planned on becoming so attached to anyone, and she does not know, yet, if she can here, but she can feel their connection, stronger than any she has had.
There is something between them, and she cannot deny it.]
There are moments when you are asleep. I like to rest my head on your chest, and listen to your heartbeat in time with mine. It does not feel as if we are stuck here then. [Because she is not even sure if she will ever meet him back home. They are from the same world, but she is not sure if this same draw that she feels with him will somehow find them there.]
I can feel it. Our intimacies are... deeper than that, but I find moments with you even when we are just together that feel right somehow. [She understands destiny, birthright, claims, but this is something she has not actually experienced to her core until meeting him.]
[This bond was something that he didn't expect or imagine possible in his life. It was difficult to sort out, to even understand and sort out in his mind. It was tethered, drawing them together. And while he couldn't say if they would meet in Westeros, he felt that he would somehow know something was missing.
He had tried to shut himself off, but it was impossible to do. He was shook, rattled by the sudden onslaught of feelings and how unprepared he was for it. Still, he welcomed this warmth and desire, giving himself completely, even as part of him objected for honor's sake.]
I sometimes place my hand against your heart. [A small similarity, but another sign of how they thought alike.] Does that mean I make you feel as if you are home?
Home is complicated, [She admits quietly, thinking about that concept before she looks up at him with a little smile as they move in close to one another again. She touches his face gently with the pad of her thumb.]
But I can imagine what a home must be like when you are with me.
[It's true. Even being in this prison cell does not feel as stifling or as maddening as it truly could be if he were not there with her. She would already be threatening to burn down the place (the thought still lingers).]
[It wasn't far from what he felt. Home was never something he knew. Even in Winterfell, there was no real place for him. He had no name, no birthright and no real family left. Only Arya and there was no clear sign of what happened to her. Perhaps the Wildlings would still continue to march without him? Perhaps the Red Woman would do more than give warnings?
But all of that pain, anger and fear was dimmed next to Dany. She tempered his doubts, calming his thoughts and bringing out his humor.
[She wants to believe that Westeros is home. That she will find her place there. She has always been a foreigner in a foreign land. It has not been too different being in this place in that regard. Daenerys is still trying to command the same respect here, and for the most part people seem to at least recognize the command she leads.
She does not want to think about this place as home, but if Jon is in Westeros, it is an easy thought that perhaps they can find one another again back home.]
I can always tell when a man wants me. [It's a look she has seen many times over. She smirks a little, but it's Jon who is in her bed, who she has let there. Clearly there's some reciprocity.]
I don't want to think of the other men that want you. [He was jealous and always had been jealous. Deeply ingrained guilt flared each time he dreamed of Winterfell, claiming it as his own or killing Robb with Ice. He knew the root of it all, but it wasn't something he wished to dig up and inspect. It was easier to keep it buried, facing the fear and shame when it surfaced before disappearing.
It would be much the same with Dany. He knew she was with other men, but it didn't alter that he hated them for it and he hated that he couldn't offer her the level of dedication she deserved. An honorable union, one she could be proud of-
-but each time that thought came to him, he would see Lady Stark's eyes and remember 'You're a bastard'. A Queen needed a real lord, not one simply called "Lord Snow".]
They are not the ones in my bed, [She reminds him, one hand drawing to cup his face. He does not need to worry about other men. No, they cannot have something so traditional as they would back home (and even then she is not entirely sure how it would work).]
You are the one I am asking if you wish to bury yourself inside me. [Her free hand moves to his waist, to slide down over his lap. It is not a tease, but a promise of what is to come. He does not have to think of other men when it is clear he is the one she wants.]
